A .750 PERCUSSION CARBINE, MODEL 'PATTERN '42 CONSTABULARY CARBINE', no visible serial number,
circa 1845, with round 26 1/2in. barrel (some mild damage at extreme muzzle), London proofs at breech, plain top-tang, borderline engraved plain lock signed 'LACY & CO' (faint but legible), plain hammer (traces of colour, missing retaining screw), walnut full-stock with regulation brass furniture, brass fore-end cap with Lovell's catch and iron under-barrel ramrod with cup-end, some external corrosion, swivels absent, overall length 42 1/4in., weight approximately 7 1/8lbs.
